Description
True knots occur in the cord when loops form through which the foetus can pass. If these are drawn
tight when the foetus descends in labour stillbirth, secondary to anoxia, can occur. These knots are
to be distinguished from the common occurrence of nodular aggregations of Wharton's Jelly which
are not significant.
